The ancient City of York will provide us with a wealth of subjects this week. You will be taught how to use perspective to capture distance and architectural structure. A variety of media including pencil, charcoal, ink and pastel will be used to capture the mood through tone and colour studies. These location studies will then be developed in the studio where paint will be added to the mixture of materials. At each stage of the creative process, you will be shown how to realise your ideas culminating into a final finished painting.

Slide lectures of relevant artists will be given throughout.
